# How many public procurement platforms are there in the world?

Nobody publishes an official world count of public procurement platforms, because each country buys through its own mix of national portals, regional systems, sector boards and official gazettes. TRINTA's registry gives a working count: 1,627 official procurement platforms mapped and verified across 170+ countries, of which 250 national-level channels have a page each on this site. They do not share a name: of those 250, 51 say procurement, 23 portal, 12 compras or contratación, and only 21 use the word tender.
