# Where are local council contracts published?

Above the national threshold a British council publishes to Find a Tender Service, the service that took over from TED for United Kingdom procurement after Brexit. Below it, and that is most council spending by count, the notice appears on the council's own portal or on the regional system it belongs to, and there are many of those. TRINTA maps 17 official sources for the United Kingdom, 12 of them read by a dedicated connector, and the counted breakdown is where the difficulty shows: 5 regional, state and municipal buyers with portals of their own. A supplier watching only the national service sees the large contracts and misses the recurring local ones, which for most small suppliers is the market. The same shape holds in most countries: national portal for the big procedures, a long tail of municipal systems underneath.
