# Award notice

An award notice is the official publication recording who won a public contract, usually with the value and often the number of bids received. Award notices are the raw material of competitive intelligence: read across a buyer, they reveal preferred suppliers, realistic price levels and the expiry dates that will drive the next re-tender.
