How the tree works

A CPV code has eight significant digits and a check digit. The first two digits name the division, the third the group, the fourth the class, the fifth the category, and the remaining digits refine further. Buyers tag notices with the codes that describe what they are buying, which is why the right code is how a supplier gets found, and the wrong one is how a tender goes unseen. TRINTA's radar reads notices across every code and scores them against what a company actually sells, so a mis-tagged tender still surfaces when the text fits.
