Multilateral procurement is public buying run by international organisations such as the UN agencies and the development banks, funded from pooled member contributions rather than a single national budget. It follows the funder's rules, is usually conducted in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese, and is open to suppliers from member countries regardless of where the project sits.
