Prequalification

Prequalification is an assessment of a supplier's eligibility and capacity that happens before, or separately from, bidding on a specific contract. It appears as the first stage of a restricted procedure and as standing supplier registration in systems such as South Africa's CSD. Prequalifying early converts a future tender from a scramble into a submission.
