PLACSP is the Spanish state's contracting platform and the aggregation point for thousands of buyer profiles. Spain is still a regional market by construction: seven comunidades autónomas run their own platforms, and the law requires them to send every call for tenders and its result to PLACSP, directly or by aggregation, where only a summary is shown with a link back to the regional page.

How to register as a supplier on the PLACSP
Any company that wants to follow or bid for Spanish public contracts: the platform's guide says the only data needed to register as an economic operator is an email address, and the personalised services are free. Source: contrataciondelsectorpublico.gob.es
On the platform's "Empresas" page, click "Registrarse" and fill in a user name, an email address and a password.

Worth knowing
- In a simplified open procedure, every bidder must be registered in the Registro Oficial de Licitadores y Empresas Clasificadas del Sector Público (ROLECE), or where article 96.2 applies in the autonomous community's register, by the bid deadline, where that does not limit competition; an application filed before that date, with the documents, is also accepted.
